Flood Survivors Give Praise In the Midst of Troubles

About 80 men were rescued by boat from a Nashville Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) when the recent Tennessee flood waters rose so high they reached the first floor of the Center’s ceilings. Since then the men have been staying at a Community Center, and despite the difficulties they’ve faced during the devastating storm, they broke out into spontaneous worship during dinner last night!

From watching this video you’d never guess they just lost their housing and endured such difficult events. This is an encouraging testimony to their enduring hope and what a great ministry the ARC program has been.

More than half the men have already committed to continuing their rehab program with The Salvation Army in Memphis as Nashville recovers from the massive flooding.

Thank you to Jonathan Haskill from The Salvation Army in Knoxville who shot this video!
