Thank you to everyone for following and  supporting our ongoing relief efforts in Japan. We’ve received more photos of the response work and have shared them below. Salvation Army International Headquarters also has them posted to their Flickr account here.

The Salvation Army's emergency canteen vehicles have been working hard, serving hot food and drinks to a thousand people at a time.

Relief supplies, comprising bottled water, biscuits, blankets, towels and diapers were prepared for distribution.

The Salvation Army's officers and volunteers in Japan have been distributing packed lunches to evacuees and residents of earthquake-affected areas.

  1. This is great to see you helping those in need. You are in the prayers and a answer to many prayers here in America. God bless your work. I will continue to pray and support you any way I can.

  2. I am a soldier with the Salvation Army and I’m sad to say I didn’t know we actualy have buildings like those in the U.S. But I was very happy to see the pictures of the work being done in Japan. It made me cry to see the cross on one of the buildings. God is good!
