Raising Up Hope, Every Night of the Week
The Salvation Army has partnered with HOPE Station to help the Joplin community begin the process of healing and fill their future with hope.
We’re now in the middle of a 5 week campaign held at The Salvation Army’s Oasis located at the former Thrift store at 26th and Main St that was destroyed by a tornado.
The event offers nightly dinner, live music, a kid’s station, and photography and video recording station where survivors can recapture lost family photos.
On the main stage, the community has the opportunity to tell their stories of hope and healing through music, art and storytelling. Athletes, business owners, musicians and public speakers are just some of the individuals you’ll see sharing.
The campaign will continue daily until the 4th of July and is part of the larger Salvation Army Oasis, which is a central hub providing meals, rest, ministerial support and other services to those in need.

How to Support Joplin
Immediate help can be given by calling 1-800-SAL-ARMY or donating online at www.salvationarmyusa.org. Checks may be mailed to:
The Salvation Army
PO Box 21787
St. Louis, MO 63109
Please designate the gift “Joplin Tornado”
At this time, in-kind donations such as clothing are not being accepted as financial donations better allow disaster responders to immediately meet the specific needs of survivors. We offer a further explanation of this here.
