Target’s Helping Santa Out!

The popular retailer and long-time supporter donated a whopping $250,000 in vouchers for the purchase of toys for Salvation Army Christmas programs!

That’s a lot of toys!

The generous donation is a huge help to filling an ever-rising need as well as increased requests for help this Christmas. This isn’t the first time the company has lent a big hand: for many years, the company has participated in Salvation Army Christmas toy drives nationwide by contributing toys and gift cards to disadvantaged children and families.

Target supports The Salvation Army in a variety of ways year-round, most notably in our Back-to-School efforts in the months of July and August, providing several thousand children in need with gift cards to purchase supplies, clothes and shoes for the school year.

Additionally, the company provides grants to local chapters, encourages volunteerism and offers in-kind donations to help those in need. Target has also supported The Salvation Army’s disaster relief efforts in communities across the country.

We really couldn’t “Do the Most Good” without the support of this remarkable retailer! From all of us at The Salvation Army: Thank you, Target for your generous donation!
