Sam’s Clubs Donates Water to Heat Relief Program

The Salvation Army DFW Metroplex Command in Dallas received a donation of 19 pallets of bottled water from Sam’s Clubs for the heat relief program there. The water will be distributed to 15 area cooling stations across the area.

The current high heat is a public health risk but can be combated by keeping people hydrated. The water donated by Sam’s Clubs will continue to make that possible.

Sam’s Club has been a long-standing supporter of The Salvation Army. Last fall, several locations teamed up to raise and donate $500,000 to our programs.  Additionally, their 5th annual Dream Drive in partnership with the Off the Field professional football players’ wives association provided 10 needy families in 10 U.S. cities with $1,000 worth of food and holiday gifts.

Once again, we are so thankful for their generosity during a time of great need.
