Owl City Gives Back With San Diego Salvation Army
Owl City’s singer-songwriter, Adam Young, along with touring band members – Breanne Duren, Daniel Jorgensen, Jasper Nephew and Steve Goold – volunteered with The Salvation Army in San Diego during The Midsummer Station Tour in September. Their day of service was one of five volunteer stops in support of The Salvation Army and our 122nd Annual Red Kettle Campaign.
The band brought joy and encouragement to kids skateboarding, rock climbing and ice skating at The Salvation Army’s Kroc Community Center in San Diego.
“It was incredibly humbling to give back in such different ways, and such an amazing feeling to know I made a contribution to these kids’ lives” said Young.
In just two weeks, Owl City will headline The Salvation Army’s 3rd annual Rock the Red Kettle Concert produced by Specktor Media at L.A. Live in Los Angeles along with performances by Hot Chelle Rae, Bridgit Mendler and Andy Grammer. Visit our Facebook page to learn more about the show and how you can stream it live on December 15!
The Salvation Army is so thankful for the group’s awesome service and support.
