Contest Winners at Cowboys Stadium: “An Awesome Experience”

As the grand prize winners of The Salvation Army’s Boys of Fall video contest, the Markham family of Banks, OR attended the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day against the Washington Redskins, enjoyed field-level passes to The Salvation Army’s 16th annual Red Kettle Kick-Off, as well as a meet and greet with performer, Kenny Chesney.

The Markham family’s youth football highlights video, Banks Warriors 8th Grade Junior High, Banks, OR, garnered the most votes in our Boys of Fall video contest in November. In fact, the winning video’s touchdown was scored by the family’s own Garrett Markham, while best friend and team tight end, Joey Bonin, made a huge block that enabled the run. Both players were in attendance on Thanksgiving Day, along with brother, Jared and father, Mike Markham.

“It was an awesome experience,” said Garrett. “My favorite part was being on the field next to the players and watching them warm up. The stadium is incredible. The hotel was so cool. Everything about the trip was great!”

The family did us a favor by sending a few snapshots from their day at the stadium. We’re thrilled the group enjoyed the game and The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Kick-Off!
