Salvation Army Mobilizes Its Feeding Trucks To Serve Tornado Survivors In North Georgia

The Salvation Army is on its way to serve tornado survivors and emergency personnel in North Georgia communities of Adairsville, Calhoun and Rome.

Lt. Lee Wilson is on the ground in Adairsville at the local Emergency Management Office and updating Salvation Army personnel. The Salvation Army is assessing the needs for services and is in immediate communication with emergency managers of these communities.

“The Salvation Army is calling on the community first and foremost to pray!  Please pray for survivors and emergency responders,” states Georgia Divisional Disaster Director Major Jim Smith.  “We will also need you to join us in resource and financial support.”

  1. My dorm and I had to evacuate because of the storm, and it did not even hit us! It was terrifying just being near it. I can not imagine actually being affected and my life being devastated because of it. I am so thankful for organizations like the Salvation Army that helps those in need! I will definitely be praying for the survivors of the tornado. Great job to the Salvation Army for stepping out there and helping those who need it most.
