Papa John’s Pizza Raises $50,000 for Salvation Army Feeding Programs
On Tuesday, our friends at Papa John’s Pizza asked for Facebook and Twitter users to ‘like’, ‘share’, and comment on their pages to raise awareness of America’s hunger problem, with every good word, re-tweet and thumbs up garnering a $1 donation for The Salvation Army’s feeding programs.
And in just ONE DAY thanks to the power of social media, compassionate supporters and pizza lovers alike, over 70,000 likes and 15,000 shares were received on Papa John’s Facebook page – which means The Salvation Army received a $50,000 donation from the company that will help feed Americans in need through our shelters, pantries, and emergency disaster services efforts.
