Though it may not seem believable thanks to unseasonably cooler temps outside, Spring has in fact arrived.  Fashionably speaking, now is the time to come out of hibernation! Salvation Army Family stores are a fashionista’s haven for those Spring looks that are on trend now, and for those reliable options that never go out of style.

Electric Hues & Nautical Styles : Two of the season’s hottest trends pay homage to two contrasting eras. The term “bright” will run the gamut this year, and everything from basic yellows to the bold, electric and neon colors of the 1980’s will be seen all over. Also taking the spotlight are nautical looks, which began to appear in women’s fashion in the late 1800’s. Navy and white stripes, canvas boat style shoes, and crisp white blazers with gold applique patches and buttons have found their place in today’s closets. A walk through the aisles of your local Salvation Army Family Store will help you create Spring’s most popular looks at an affordable price.

Floral and Pastels

Pastels tones and Floral prints are two of the truest fashion signs that Spring has sprung! They’re less of a trend and more of a seasonal benchmark. For decades, pale pink, lavender, light yellows, and even white have indicated the arrival of warmer weather and longer days. Visit any Salvation Army family store location and you’re sure to find that perfect floral frock, or a pretty pastel top you can pair with capris, ankle skimmers or flowy spring skirts. And try something new! A pastel jacket, pair of pants, or even something as simple as a beautifully colored pastel headband or neck scarf can totally awaken an otherwise “safe” outfit. Don’t forget the accessories, either. The right purse, necklace, or even the perfect pair of earrings will help pull together your fabulous Springtime looks.
