Disaster Crews Serving At The Scene Of Philadelphia Building Collapse
Emergency Disaster Services crews of The Salvation Army are serving first responders on the scene of the Philadelphia building collapse with food and hydration as emergency efforts continue.
The building, located at 22nd and Market Street in downtown Philadelphia, collapsed this morning onto The Salvation Army Family Store located next door. As of 1:00 p.m., two people remained trapped under rubble while twelve others were taken to area hospitals with injuries, according to CNN.
“Our number one concern is for the safety of our customers and the employees who were involved,” said Major John Cranford of The Salvation Army of Philadelphia. “We are coordinating with the Police and Fire Department and local authorities. We ask for the public to pray for those involved.”
