Salvation Army Serving at Yarnell Hill Fire in Arizona
The Salvation Army is providing various forms of recovery assistance to those impacted by Arizona’s Yarnell Hill Fire, which destroyed about 50 homes and threatened 250 others in and around the area. The fire also claimed the lives of 19 firefighters, the deadliest for fire crews since September 11, 2001.
In addition to long-term efforts, The Salvation Army in Prescott is meeting the immediate needs of families affected by the fire through social service intake, while also offering spiritual support. Salvation Army canteens are serving the area with breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by this disaster and for those grieving the loss of friends and family.
