Hurricane Isaac made landfall on southern Louisiana’s coast around 6:45 p.m. tonight unleashing fierce winds and torrential rain. The Salvation Army is mobilized and ready to serve anyone impacted by the disaster via 12 mobile feeding units and a fully equipped 54-foot field kitchen. Residents of New Orleans may feel tropical storm force winds by midnight Monday in anticipation for Hurricane Isaac’s landfall on the Gulf Coast early Wednesday morning, the seventh anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.
