The wish lists of 200 families in need were fulfilled on Thursday, December 8, during Sam’s Club’s fifth annual Dream Drive.
The generous retailer, in collaboration with The Salvation Army and the Off the Field professional football players’ wives association, made the nationwide event possible by donating $200,000 to families in Philadelphia, Phoenix, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, Baltimore, Washington, D.C., Kansas City, Indianapolis, and Charlotte. That’s $1,000 per family!
Our 2nd annual Rock the Red Kettle concert is happening in only one week! We hope you’ll jingle-bell rock out with us on December 17.
In an effort to reach young philanthropists and to promote The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign, the night will include performances by well-known pop-rock bands like Honor Society, Hanson, Colbie Caillat & Greyson Chance. Other performers include Nickelodeon Star and musician, Drake Bell.
Friday, December 9 is Realtor Ring Day! Participating Realtor groups in 11 states will take part in the 2nd annual event which brings real estate agents out from their soon-to-be-sold-homes and into the streets to ring bells at Salvation Army red kettle locations.
