Many thanks to the thousands who came out to Universal CityWalk Hollywood for The Salvation Army’s 2nd annual Rock the Red Kettle concert!
The venue was jam-packed with fans of Greyson Chance, Cody Simpson, Drake Bell, Hanson, Honor Society, and Colbie Caillat. Each artist and band rocked the stage in promotion of The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign.

Bell ringing record breaking fever is everywhere.
I am in Los Angeles for The Salvation Army’s second annual Rock the Red Kettle concert at Universal’s CityWalk. Check that out here. This morning while I was in the lobby of my hotel, I heard that familiar ring of The Salvation Army bell. Like Pavlov’s dog my ears perked up and I began to search out that oh-so-familiar sound.

For the second year in a row, Honor Society is helping The Salvation Army create awareness for our Christmas Red Kettle collections. We’re especially excited to rock out this year. Why? Because not only is Honor Society’s newest album A Tale of Risky Business, Pt. 2 REALLY GOOD, but this is The Salvation Army’s 120th year of collecting donations for the poor at Christmas red kettles.
That’s right- since 1891 those iconic red kettles and familiar bells have been bringing in donations so that The Salvation Army can serve others in need.
Join us as we rock out in celebration of another great season of giving!

Just one more day!
We are so eager to tell the world who will be performing at this year’s Salvation Army Kettle Kickoff…but alas, the big news will have to wait until tomorrow!
The kickoff talent will be announced at a press conference at Madison Square Gardens in New York City tomorrow evening. I’ll be live blogging and updating our Facebook and Twitter pages from the scene so you can get all of the updates and video footage in real time!
The Kettle kickoff is one of The Salvation Army’s favorite holiday traditions. Each year, we “kick off” our season of red kettle collections with a promotional concert at the Dallas Cowboys’ stadium on Thanksgiving Day. The talent to-be-revealed will perform live during the game’s halftime show.
Previous acts have included the Jonas Brothers, Carrie Underwood, LeAnn Rimes, Toby Keith, Destiny’s Child, and Keith Urban. Those are tough acts to follow, but we promise – this year’s talent is not to be missed!
Who do you think will be performing? We’d love to hear your guesses! Here’s a hint: the talent is not a country artist/group.
Check back here for updates. You can also find updates on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
