We were inspired by a great idea from Jenni Ragland, Associate Director of the Community Relations Department at The Salvation Army Alaska Divisional Headquarters. She created a 12 Months of Giving calendar which listed a new way to give back to Alaska communities each month of the year.
We liked her idea so much, we decided to create a 12 Months of Giving calendar that can be used by anyone.

Through the collective support of individuals, businesses and partners during our 120th annual Red Kettle Campaign, The Salvation Army now has the financial means to help millions of struggling Americans in the coming year. You donated online and in our kettles, adopted angels, volunteered your time, and you encouraged us through prayer.
Our work is simply not possible without the faithful hands and generous donations of so many supporters!

Bell Ringers slowed their bells and officially closed down their red kettles as The Salvation Army’s 120th annual Red Kettle Campaign wrapped up on Christmas Eve at stores nationwide. While most bell ringers closing up shop were volunteers, there were some who rang the bells for temporary income.
Among the paid bell ringers was Lynn and Rusty Smith of Ventura, California, first time ringers who are currently down on their luck due to tough economic times.

Originally sung by crooner Frank Sinatra, his version of the Christmas classic is benefiting The Salvation Army’s 120th annual Red Kettle Campaign. The generous (and talented!) Davi is giving 100% of the proceeds from the sales of the song to The Salvation Army.
