We’re getting ready to Rock the Red Kettle!!
Despite cloudy skies and sprinkles, artists and bands such as Greyson Chance, Honor Society, Cody Simpson, Colby Caillat, Drake Bell and Hanson are roaming the stage area and performing sound checks to ensure they rock out the crowd tonight at The Salvation Army’s 2nd annual Rock the Red Kettle concert!
The guys behind the band Honor Society have been on the road nonstop lately, performing at venues across the U.S. and Canada in support of The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign. They may be rocking out at night but in between concerts, the guys spend their days volunteering at various Salvation Army locations; serving food, washing dishes, and offering a listening ear to the less fortunate who rely on The Salvation Army for food, shelter and support each day.
Could they get any better? The guys behind Honor Society are talented AND charitable! Check out the band’s latest music video “Spread the Love” featuring The Salvation Army. The video, which is just in time for the holidays, shows footage of the guys and their fans volunteering at various Salvation Army locations during their Rock the Red [...]
The hit band is gearing up for The Salvation Army’s first ever Rock the Red Kettle Tour in support of The Salvation Army’s iconic red kettle tradition. The tour kicks off in Orlando, FL on November 26.
Along with performing hits from their latest album, A Tale of Risky Business, Pt. 2, the guys behind the band want to encourage their fans to volunteer in their communities and to give back to those less fortunate. The band’s message is no surprise: the guys are philanthropists themselves and big fans of giving back.

For the second year in a row, Honor Society is helping The Salvation Army create awareness for our Christmas Red Kettle collections. We’re especially excited to rock out this year. Why? Because not only is Honor Society’s newest album A Tale of Risky Business, Pt. 2 REALLY GOOD, but this is The Salvation Army’s 120th year of collecting donations for the poor at Christmas red kettles.
That’s right- since 1891 those iconic red kettles and familiar bells have been bringing in donations so that The Salvation Army can serve others in need.
Join us as we rock out in celebration of another great season of giving!

Thank you, America! The Salvation Army raised $142 million in Christmas Red Kettles during the 2010 season, setting a record for the sixth straight year!
This is great news considering how much more need we’ve seen across the country, and these funds will go to support our many programs year round.
Wow. It was a busy Red Kettle season, to say the least. We used many of our traditional efforts, from the volunteer bell ringers you probably saw on every corner, to our annual Thanksgiving Day Kickoff at Cowboys Stadium. Plus, we had a few new ideas up our sleeves, like our Rock the Red Kettle Concert and a new iPhone app.
When it all comes down to it, though, we couldn’t have done any of this without you. Thank you for your generosity. And thanks to our many corporate partners for your continued support. We’re very grateful for all of your help with assisting those in need!
