Salvation Army Raises $9,551.26 in “Today” Show Auction!
Incredible!
The Salvation Army raised $9,551.26 in the “Today” Show Tag Sale Auction this past weekend thanks to support from eager bidders, NBC’s “Today” Show and E-bay!
The highest bid was $3,000 for Ann Curry’s items: two pairs of heels, a pink mariachi hat and the torch she carried at the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics. The other highest bids were $1,525 for Lester Holt’s electric guitar and $1,277.77 for Matt Lauer’s ties, boomerang and artwork.
100% of the proceeds from this auction will go directly to fund The Salvation Army’s Adult Rehabilitation Centers (ARC). Each ARC provides physical, spiritual, social and emotional assistance to adults coping with addictions. Each center offers housing, work, and counseling. Many of those who have been rehabilitated are reunited with their families and resume a normal working life. Your donation to The Salvation Army ARC can save someone’s life.
